About Library

The Best Library in Amravati of Sau. Vasudhatai Deshmukh College of Food Technology, Pala, Amravati was established in the year 2005. Since the library has made consistent progress in terms of the collection of books, periodicals, CDs, E-resources, services, and infrastructure provided.

In colleges, the library occupies a prominent position and it is an important and integral part of the teaching-learning program. The college library is well stacked having sufficient text and reference books. A collection of books, rare as well as modern. In addition to these National and International scientific journals and magazines. Daily newspapers are made available to the students.

We have book bank facilities to carry books for the whole semester.

The purpose of a library is to freely disseminate knowledge. Our library is therefore operated on a need-based approach rather than the usual rules-based treatment given to students everywhere.

  • Library remains closed on every 2nd & 4th Saturday.
  • Library opening / closing Time- 10.30 am to 5.30 pm
  • Book Issue – Monday to Saturday -10.30 am to 5.30 pm
  • Reading Room – Monday to Saturday -10.30 am to 5.30 pm
  • Books will be issued to the students for five days and to the Staff Members for a month.
  • Return book on or before the due date to avoid fine, if returned after the due date, fine will be charged @ Rs.10.00/- per day.
  • If the book is found spoiled, damaged, or disfigured in any way shall be replaced by the borrower.
  • Every student can issue only one book at one time.
  • Renewal of a book can be made for a further five days as per the need of the students.
  • The use of cell phones is strictly prohibited in the library.
  • Smoking, chewing tobacco, etc. is strictly prohibited.
  • Inform the Librarian immediately in case of a loss of books. The student can replace the lost book with late charges. If the lost book is found out of print the double amount of the book will be recovered from the borrower.
  • Students can put the demand for the book by feeling up demand for sleep.
  • Project Reports, Seminar Reports, CDs, are not lent out of the library.
  • All categories of borrowers must return all kinds of borrowed items as and when the schedule of stocktaking is announced. If they fail to do so, fine will be charged.
  • The borrowing facility can be withdrawn or restricted in case of misbehavior or misuse of the library.
  • Xeroxing the entire book is strictly prohibited.
  • Borrowers will not deface, mutilate or write anything in the borrowed books/journals/magazines.
  • Please maintain silence in the library.
  • While entering the library, students should leave their personal belongings, such as bags, briefcases, personal books, and parcels in the pigeonholes without valuable things.
  • The college Management is not responsible for the loss of any valuable goods like cell phones, money, gold ornaments, etc.
  • The students are should check the book thoroughly for missing pages, chapters, pictures etc.
  • While borrowing the book. If found damaged kindly inform the library staff.
  • Students can suggest Books, Journals, Magazines, and Periodicals for purchase/subscription by the library. Kindly write the correct information on the register available near the checkpoint counter.
  • Please register your correct address, contact number and email id while enrolling yourself as a member of library.
  • Any misbehavior, misconduct in the library will be viewed seriously.
  • Student has to retain his/her I-Card with him/her while entering in the Library.
  • Please maintain the furniture and other goods in proper order. Damage caused to any good or any material in the library will be viewed seriously.
